Financial reporting requires precision. Custom Reporting, powered by Carta’s configuration agent, introduces the power to meet these reporting requirements directly in Carta.
Meeting your standards
We built Custom Reporting for entities that require significant deviation from standard U.S. GAAP templates. Whether you’re navigating Singapore VCCs or managing diverse asset classes, Custom Reporting ensures your reports are possible in Carta.
Turning complexity into customization
Custom Reporting aligns with international standards—including IFRS, UK GAAP, and Canada ASPE—while maintaining the efficiency of the Carta platform. Supported by our configuration agent, Custom Reporting pulls specific formulas from line items into a custom report from the underlying fund GL. From there, we can freely add, remove, or combine line items and inputs. This makes it possible to achieve complex reporting outcomes like combining multiple different receivables into a single line item as the customer, auditor, or investor sees fit.
The Q4 release integrates Large Language Models (LLMs) to accelerate setup, leveraging AI to re-create existing templates from PDFs or prior-year financials. We have also expanded data coverage to include complex Partner Allocations and GP/LP splits, ensuring even the most intricate capital structures are reflected accurately.
Data integrity meets design flexibility
Transparency is the foundation of audit readiness. By syncing your General Ledger data directly to your custom templates, every figure in your report traces back to a single source of truth.
With the help of Carta’s Financial Reporting team, you can create and export these tailored financial packages directly to Excel, PDF, or DOCX formats, ensuring they are ready for your auditors and investors. With custom data inputs and flexible formatting, your reports tell the complete story of your fund’s performance, the way you want it told.
