How long does my valuation last?

EMI and CSOP valuations are HMRC-approved and valid for 90 days, while 409A valuations remain valid for 12 months. In all cases you will need a new valuation after a material event.

What methodologies will be used?

Carta typically combines multiple valuation methodologies by relying on funding history, financial performance and time to an expected exit to arrive at a fair value for the company's equity. The methodologies include the company transaction method, public comparable method and applying a discounted cash flow model when applicable.
