What’s new
We’re launching the Carta CRM plugin to bring your CRM data into Claude as an additional interface. The CRM plugin gives you the ability to understand your fund’s dealflow analytics and interactions with external stakeholders all from within your Claude instance.
For example, you can now answer complex questions such as “create a chart of all deals that Mike Smith brought in 2025 on a monthly basis” and return a correct answer based on all of the deals data in the CRM. You can also ask about historical meetings or emails sent to a given counterparty—for example, “How many meetings have we had with Atlas Partners this year, and when is the next catch-up?”
Your existing permissions in the CRM will be reflected automatically in the plugin. When you set up the plugin, you will be authenticated automatically by opening up a browser window and checking that you have the right access credentials to the system.
Why it matters
Analyzing dealflow and understanding stakeholder interactions is one of the most important aspects of running a PE or a VC fund. We launched the Carta CRM plugin as a way from deal teams and GPs to access their CRM data from within Claude.
How it works
Simply ask the LLM a question and it will be able to use the right MCP (Model Context Protocol) tool to answer it. You can find out the details of available tools here.
